Post Doctoral Fellows- MD, PhD
Description:
(Please note that we do not have paid openings at this point. While the project is supported by a 5-year National Institute of Mental Health research grant, paid postdoctoral openings are not currently contemplated as part of this grant. However, we offer supporting applications for fellowship funding for qualified postdocs already working on the project.)
Opening as postdoctoral fellow on the project, with the possibility of obtaining support through the project for funded post-doctoral positions as NRSA or similar fellowship positions, through existing funding mechanisms (APA, NIH). This position offers the possiblility of participating in the project's publication process and be part of the writing team. The possibility of supervised use of the data set for other complementary projects can be discussed. There is some flexibility to discuss role specifics to be tailored to the postdoc's (as well as the project's) needs and interests. Work possible in various areas of the study including conducting asssessments, and managing and analyzing data. Participation in weekly reserach team meetings.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly motivated and an independent worker; strongly interested in research and possibly empirical publications (data available now) and has experience in developmental language and/or psychological/psychiatric/cognitive sciences research.
Requirements:
- Close to graduation from doctoral program or already obtained doctoral degree in: medicine, psychology, speech pathology, child development, child language acquisition, cognitive sciences, education or related field.
- One-year commitment minimum.
- Excellent computer skills.
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with test administration (psychological, language), or in psychiatric, developmental and/or language research.
- Experience with statistical analysis software
- Spanish/English bilingual, native Spanish speaker preferred.
