The goal of DMS is to provide our graduate students with the best possible educational experience, preparing them to take their places as future leaders in biomedical research and other allied professions. We maintain a supportive and stimulating community of students and faculty. We work closely with our Programs to create an academic environment which assists our students in developing their scientific potential to the fullest. We seek to mentor and prepare our students for the many types of careers enabled by their training to think critically, creatively, and productively in many different areas.

Ten DMS Students Selected for NSF Award

The highly competitive National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellows Program (GRFP) was awarded to ten current students within Harvard’s Division of Medical Sciences. Jeffrey Rhoades in the Program in Neuroscience, Yixuan He and Douglas Yao in the Bioinformatics and Integrative Genomics Program, as well as Kelcee Everett, Alissandra Hillis, Christopher Nardone, Kristin Qian, Alexander Sousa, Tristan Tay, and Samuel Zimmerman in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program, will receive three years of stipend and tuition funding.
