Welcome to the Office of Student Affairs. We are located at 25 Shattuck Street, on the third floor of Gordon Hall, Suite 306. In conjunction with the Academic Societies, our department serves as a resource in promoting the individual and professional growth and development of the students at Harvard Medical School.

Nancy Oriol, M.D., the Dean of Students, chairs the Council on Student Affairs and the Committee on Careers. She works closely with the Society Masters and Associate Masters to ensure that student needs around such issues as career path/specialty choice, leaves of absence, or other academic or personal issues are met.

Carla Fujimoto, the Special Assistant to Dr. Oriol, provides direct administrative and organizational support to the Student Council and its steering committee of elected representatives from each HMS Society and HSDM class.
