If you are using a PC to prepare a grants.gov application you will need to download a small, free piece of software that will allow you to easily open and edit a Grant Application Package (a .xfd file). After you have downloaded and installed PureEdge you will be be able to open any .xfd file on your computer by simply double clicking on it.

To operate PureEdge Viewer, your computer must meet the following minimum system requirements:
Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, XP
500 MHz processor
128 MB of RAM
40 MB disk space
Web browser: Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher, Netscape Communicator 4.5 - 4.8, Netscape 6.1, 6.2 or 7.
