Steven Joffe, MD, MPH is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist who specializes in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.  He also serves as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Hospital Ethicist.  His research activities focus on the ethics of clinical research involving human subjects, including such issues as informed consent and children’s assent, identification and assessment of adverse events, and the ethical challenges of research involving biobanks.
