The
Office for Research Subject Protection, introduced in October
1999 and formerly known as the Animal and Human Studies Office,
is the final common pathway for all investigators seeking
approval for research involving animal or human subjects.
Our
mission is to insure that all research subjects are protected
from harm and unnecessary discomfort while involved in a research
project. Our goal is to assist our research investigators
to develop appropriate experimental protocols involving animal
or human subjects in accordance with federal policy and within
accepted ethical guidelines.
