For the first time in medical education, we are beginning to create fully immersive, experiential training platforms through simulation technology. The ability to reliably simulate visual, tactile, auditory, and emotional components of patient care in real time promises to revolutionize medical education in the next decade. During this session, medical school teaching cases will be "brought to life" using a high-fidelity patient simulator (like a flight simulator but for doctors). Like our students, participants in this lab experience will have the unique opportunity to "practice" medicine without risk.
