Vanderbilt Hall Visiting Scholar Housing Application
Vanderbilt Hall is the residence Hall for Harvard Medical School, the School of Dental Medicine, and the Division of Medical Sciences.  Visiting Scholars of the Medical School, the School of Dental Medicine and students who are registered in a degree program at another Harvard School are eligible when space is available.

 
Rate:
$1,150/month. One month minimum.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO OR DURING OCCUPANCY OF A ROOM UNLESS THE UNIVERSITY CANCELS THE ELECTIVE OR WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ACCOMMODATIONS. (Harvard students should contact the Vanderbilt Business Office for student rates).

Provided:
A single room with an extra long dormitory bed, a bureau, a bookcase, a desk and a chair.
Facilities:
Shared kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms are located in the hallways.  An athletic 
 facility is also available to Vanderbilt Hall Residents and Harvard Students.
Not Provided:
Linens, sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, utensils, pots and pans, and desk lamps.
Transportation:
The subway and the bus are both easily accessible from Vanderbilt Hall.
Security:
24-hour security officers.
Telephone:
Optional telephone service is available with the PaeTec Communications.  A telephone application will be provided upon check in.
Registration:
At the security desk.  Check-in any time after 3 p.m. on date of arrival.  Check out before 11 a.m. on date of departure.
Prohibited:
Smoking and pets are not permitted

THIS IS A HOUSING APPLICATION ONLY.  Upon receipt, a waitlist contract will be mailed or faxed to the address you provide.  After the waitlist contract is returned to the Vanderbilt Business Office, along with payment in full, the reservation will be confirmed (or declined) by letter or fax. Please call (617) 432-1629 to check on the status of your request.

Accommodation Dates Requested
Applications for housing may be submitted for the current academic year (September through May).

Applications for the summer period will be accepted after April 30. Due to the extended Harvard Medical School academic year we only have summer vacancies from June 20 to August 6. We have no vacancy from May 29 to June 20. Wait list contracts for the summer period will be sent out to applicants as space becomes available. Applications for the fall will be accepted after July 31. Housing requests for periods after August 6 will be wait list only.
 
All dates must be entered numerically (separated by a forward slash) in the following order:
month, day, year. For example, July 2, 2007 should be entered as 07/02/07.
