NEPRC is located on 130 acres of woodland in Southborough,
Massachusetts, 25 miles west of Boston. The facility includes
six major research buildings, 35 research laboratories, housing
for more than 1,800 monkeys, and multiple levels of biocontainment.
NEPRC is organized into seven research divisions, which focus
on the broad areas of infectious disease and neuroscience.
A professional staff of 45 Harvard Medical School faculty
and postdoctoral fellows, and a support staff of over 150
conduct research in the Divisions of Behavioral Biology, Comparative
Pathology, Immunology, Microbiology, Neurochemistry, Primate
Resources, and Tumor Virology.
