NIA Training Program

 

The Harvard/MIT MD-PhD Program is thrilled to announce the start of a new training initiative sponsored by the National Institute of Aging titled, “MD-PhD Training Program in Aging and Social/Behavioral Sciences”. 

Graduate study will be offered in the following areas:

Training will include shadowing a physician-scientist gerontologist, tutorials focused on age-related topics, specialized graduate and clinical coursework in geriatrics, as well as mentored research relevant to aging populations.

The MD-PhD Program seeks to recruit and nurture a community of students who encompass the entire spectrum of diversity within our culture at large. The program particularly encourages applications from students who are Black/African American, American Indian/Native Alaskan, and Hispanic/Latino American, as well as students with disabilities and students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
