The Fundraising Effort for the Archives for Women in Medicine
Funding Goals
To achieve its goal of informing the future, the project must make records readily accessible. It is not enough to simply collect women's papers; records must be cataloged, preserved, and made available for study - and this requires staffing. The Committee's initial goal is to raise the operating expenses required to staff the program for the first five years. Our longer term goal is to endow a position, the "Archivist for Women in Medicine."
We are seeking:
$ 350,000 in general use funds for the first five years
$ 2.5 million in endowment funds
