Reporting 2003 Policy and Guidelines

Under guidelines set forth in the Office of Management and Budget
Circular A-21, Harvard Medical School is reimbursed for facilities
expenses that can be related to sponsored research. We allocate
these indirect costs for reimbursement purposes through a Space
Utilization Survey, which ranks the usage of space assigned to
the departments throughout the fiscal year.
The
most recent Medical School space utilization survey was completed
during Summer/Fall 2003.
