*Black bag and diagnostic equipment are ordinarily purchased at the beginning of the second year. **Housing and food allowances for Class of ’07 are based on average costs of a Vanderbilt Hall residence contract. **Housing and food allowances for other classes assume students are sharing rental units in the community. These items are guidelines, but students should plan to economize on other items if their actual expenses of any line item are considerably higher than the guideline figure. OPTION: The federal government will now permit students to borrow unsubsidized Stafford loan to purchase a computer, printer & software for school. Students interested in this option should speak with a financial aid staff member prior to the purchase. Students are limited to one such purchase during their tenure at HMS. The one-time purchase maximum is $3,500.
