COMMITTEE ON PROMOTIONS AND EXAMINATIONS
This Committee is comprised of representatives from each of the clinical departments as well as members of the basic sciences faculty, the Deans for Dental Education and Admissions, and a physician from the Medical Area Health Services. The Committee meets at least six times during the school year to discuss the academic progress of the various classes. Near the end of the academic year, the Committee evaluates the progress of each student for purposes of promotion. Actions of the Committee include voting of degrees and honors, granting of leaves of absence, promotion without qualification, and recommendation of probation, remediation or dismissal.
