A. Trainees (Clinical and Research Fellows)

There may be circumstances, ordinarily not involving lack of funds, where notice of less than three months is warranted.

C. Term Appointments (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor)

Faculty whose term appointments in clinical departments are being terminated or are not being renewed should be notified in writing at least six months in advance. There may be circumstances, ordinarily not involving lack of funds, where notice of less than six months is warranted.

D. Professors of Indefinite Duration (OID)

Faculty whose OID professorial appointments in clinical departments are being terminated for lack of adequate support from sources outside the University should be notified in writing at least one year in advance. Lack of adequate support from sources outside the university should be construed strictly and ordinarily requires more than that the faculty member does not directly generate sufficient clinical, grant or other funds.
