The HMS Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG) is a student-run organization whose goals are to introduce students to emergency medicine and to stimulate interest in this relatively new and exciting field. In general, the club's activities consist of skills workshops, arranging shadowing experiences, and informational talks. Some of these have become perpetually popular activities including interactive case conferences, an intubation and airway workshop, and discussion about residencies and career opportunities, including research, in emergency medicine. Additionally, we have been lucky enough to have the support of many faculty members in the past and hope to continue these excellent relationships.
