Health & Welfare

Bureau of Study Counsel.  BSC provides academic counseling, workshops and discussions, peer tutoring, and a large library of self-help materials to help students who have issues with time management, organization, or experiencing personal problems like serious illness or death in the faily.  The BSC team provides a supportive and safe environment for students to work on problems that might impede their progress in graduate school.


Derek Bok Center for Teaching and LearningThe Bok Center offers seminars and conferences to graduate students who are interested in honing their teaching and writing skills.  Bok Center staff also work with international students who want to develop their speaking, teaching and cultural skills in the Harvard community.


The Center for Writing and Communicating Ideas. The Center for Writing and Communicating Ideas offers individual consultations, peer workshops, and other programming to support registered GSAS students at all stages of their careers. Tutoring support is offered to all GSAS students in any discipline who seek to improve their academic papers, dissertations, and presentations.


Office of Counseling and Mental Health.  For students who find themselves in crisis, the Harvard University Health Services has an office of Counseling and Mental Health in Cambridge.
