Minority Biomedical Scientists of Harvard

Regular Meetings

M.B.S.H. members organize meetings on a regular basis usually once every other week) and they are open to everyone! Stop by if you'd like to hear an M.B.S.H. member talk about the work going on in their lab, or maybe join a discussion about some recently published research article. If you're looking to acquire new skills, occasional workshops have covered practical considerations from "How to Write a Research Grant" to less tangible concerns such as the specific issues faced by women and minorities in science. Please check our Event Calendar for the next scheduled meeting.

These regular meetings serve multiple purposes. First, they provide a friendly and supportive environment to encourage the development of communication skills which are crucial to success. Second, they reunite members of the minority community who are usually widely dispersed across Harvard, and increase the opportunities for communication. Finally, they're just a good time to catch up with friends over dinner, an opportunity anyone with a busy schedule can appreciate!
