My laboratory is dedicated to understanding the mechanisms that lead to tumorigenesis. We have developed unique mouse models and tools that allow us not only to study genetic alterations associated with the disease but that can also be used for the pre-clinical assessment of new therapeutic approaches aimed at the eradication of cancer. In turn, this will have an important impact on human health, as results will be utilized to facilitate the identification of patient subtypes through key genetic determinants and biomarkers that predict response to specific treatments.
