Patricia K. Donahoe, M.D., is the Marshall K. Bartlett Professor of Surgery (HMS), Director Pediatric Surgical Laboratories (MGH), Associate Member of The Broad Institute, and a Principle Faculty Member at Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Her laboratory concentrates on developmental biology and the genetics of congenital anomalies. Her studies include sex differentiation and the role of Mullerian Inhibiting Substance (MIS), and the genetic causes of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia; her laboratory is also examining targetable differences between ovarian cancer stem cells and ovarian somatic stem cells and the role of MIS as a chemotherapeutic for ovarian cancer stem cells.
