The Department of Dermatology offers comprehensive medical and procedural dermatology expertise. Services include general dermatology consultation and care for disorders of the skin, hair and nails, as well as phototherapy with PUVA, UVB, NBUVB, and hand and foot units for psoriasis, cutaneous lymphoma and other disorders.  Cutaneous surgical services include the excision of benign and malignant lesions, Mohs micrographic surgery for selected skin cancers and cutaneous reconstruction following cancer surgery. An active inpatient consultation service sees patients on both East and West campuses as well as in the emergency unit. Cosmetic and laser procedures are offered through the department's Cosmetic Laser and Surgery Center at 25 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA and at the department's offices in Needham, MA. These services include laser treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions, scar revision, laser hair removal, fillers, chemical peels, botulinum toxin injection and sclerotherapy. The Cutaneous Oncology and Melanoma Clinic is managed as part of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Cutaneous Oncology Program. This collaborative program involves dermatologists, medical and surgical oncologists, pathologists, and radiation therapists.
