Current teaching and research interests:

I continue to teach and consult in hospice and palliative care seminars. I am interested in group decision-making, in how to maximize the effectiveness of interdisciplinary team meetings, and in the training of advance care planning facilitators. I am no longer interested in my MIT thesis topic, "Thermal fluctuations on the interface between two fluids, using optical heterodyne spectroscopy." I am presently involved in data management for several MGH Palliative Care research projects, one focused on the Use of Limitations of Life-Sustaining Treatment orders, and one titled Merging the Palliative Care and Medical Intensive Care Cultures.
