Current teaching and research interests:

My teaching focuses on bedside education in palliative care for whomever is rotating with our service (MD, RN, NP etc…). I also am involved in the education of nursing staff in new nurse orientation, specialty group training courses and unit based in-services. I am also responsible for taking advantage of any teaching opportunity that arises during the clinical day regardless of the audience (Family, Nursing Aides, Residents, Fellows, Attendings).  At this moment I am interested in Organ Transplant and Pulmonary Hypertension as areas to explore and research ways to reduce the suffering of the patients and their loved ones. However those interests have been diverted.
