Current teaching and research interests:

As director of the gynecologic oncology fellowship program, I have created a didactic program for students, residents, and fellows. I also teach in the operating room and on the wards. I have been involved with teaching overseas through Harvard Medical International.

I am a co-investigator on the clinical trials in gynecologic oncology at the Partners’ hospitals (Brigham & Womens, Dana Farber, MGH). I am also involved with acupuncture research. We presently have a trial open for women who are receiving chemotherapy to evaluate the use of acupuncture to improve white blood cell counts. This is a randomized single blinded trial of treatment acupuncture vs. sham acupuncture.
