Foundation Management The Board of Trustees governs the Foundation. Count Giovanni Auletta Armenise is the Foundation Chairman, Jeffrey S. Flier, Dean of Harvard Medical School, is the President and Chief Executive Officer and chairs the Board of Trustees. Other members include Count Giovanni Auletta Armenise, Giampiero Auletta Armenise, and Peter Howley (Chairman of the Armenise-Harvard Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board). The Scientific Advisory Board includes the heads of the seven Armenise Harvard Science Centers at Harvard Medical School. The Scientific Advisory Board oversees the implementation of the scientific programs, including the design of the selection and review processes and appointing appropriate committees. The Italian Scholarship Advisory Committee is made up of 11 senior Italian research scientists from diverse fields of basic biomedical and plant biological sciences. They are responsible for recommending the Armenise-Harvard Career Development grant recipients and for shaping Foundation programs in Italy. Day-to-day operation of the Foundation is managed by the Executive Director, Amanda Pullen, the Operations Manager, Cheryl King, and the Director of Italian Affairs, Alexa Mason.
