Giving to HMS
Continuing Medical Education
The HMS Department of Continuing Education has earned worldwide renown for the quality of its continuing medical education programs. More than 60,000 clinicians participate in the department’s live courses, conferences, or online programs each year. The department’s distance learning initiative, launched just three years ago, has already enrolled more than 7,000 people from at least 110 countries.
In cooperation with the Harvard Medical Alumni Association, the department is delighted to extend special offers to HMS alumni:
Primary Care Medicine Courses
The department will host HMS alumni at its seven Current Clinical Issues in Primary Care Medicine programs throughout the United States and in Mexico. The usual registration fee will be waived, and alumni are welcome to make themselves at home in the HMS speakers’ lounge. There they can meet with keynote speakers and other colleagues over breakfast and lunch and throughout the sessions.
Live Courses
HMS alumni can receive a 15-percent tuition discount on live courses. To be eligible for this benefit, they must register at least 60 days before the start of the course.
Online Courses
HMS alumni are eligible for a 50-percent discount on online courses. The department now offers several dozen online courses, with many others under development. For more information, visit the Department’s website.
Harvard Medical Labcast
The HMS Office of Public Affairs has launched the Harvard Medical Labcast, a brand new podcast that explores the groundbreaking research taking place in our labs. Our podcast gives you the scoop on some of the latest studies coming out of HMS and its teaching hospitals--and the personalities behind them. We also highlight trends in medical education and biomedical research.

Harvard Alumni Association/Post.Harvard
One of the most exciting new benefits for HMS alumni is the ability to connect with each other via Post.Harvard, an online community for all Harvard alumni.

From Post.Harvard, HMS alumni can access the entire online Harvard directory and search for fellow HMS graduates by class, geographic region, or specialty. This is a wonderful opportunity to tap into this distinguished network.
