The NEPRC is located in Southborough, Massachusetts, 25 miles west of Boston. The facility includes seven major research buildings, numerous research laboratories, housing for more than 1300 monkeys, and multiple levels of biocontainment. The NEPRC is organized into five research divisions, which focus on the broad areas of infectious disease and neuroscience. A professional staff of Harvard Medical School faculty, postdoctoral fellows, veterinary residents, research associates and research assistants, conduct cutting-edge research in the Divisions of Neuroscience, Comparative Pathology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Veterinary Resources.
