NEPRC has been committed to its role as a national scientific resource
for the biomedical research community. Our Collaborative and Affiliated
Scientist Programs have served as vital components of this mission and
have provided unique opportunities for outside investigators to extend
their research to nonhuman primates. These programs have encompassed a
wide range of research aims and disciplines, involving scientists from
Harvard Medical School, Harvard-affiliated hospitals, and prominent
research institutions throughout the country and worldwide.
The NEPRC
historically has conducted vital collaborative research in the broadly
defined areas of infectious disease and neuroscience. Due to the
scheduled wind down of operations and closing of the NEPRC on
May 31,
2015, new collaborative initiatives will be limited.
